The morning session of this Conference will give guidance to solicitors and counsel in relation to the procedures which apply, funding options for Core Participants and Judicial Review of Decisions. Where appropriate, reference will be made to The ICL Inquiry; The Fingerprint Inquiry; Vale of Leven Hospital Inquiry and The Penrose Inquiry. This conference is designed to give practical guidance to agents and counsel interested in this area of work.

In November 2009, Right Honourable Lord Cullen of Whitekirk KT issued his conclusions and recommendations arising from his Review of the 30-year old fatal accident inquiry legislation. The afternoon session of this Conference will consider the future for FAIs, along with issues which arise during preparation for an FAI and the issue of funding and expenses.

All participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and raise issues with the panel after both the morning and the afternoon sessions.

Attendance at the conference counts for 4 hours CPD. The cost of the conference per delegate, including lunch and a glass of wine, is £100 plus VAT.  A group booking discount is available. Any firms booking four places will be entitled to a fifth place free of charge. Previous events organised by Arnot Manderson Advocates have been oversubscribed and early booking is recommended.
